It is with incomprehensible joy that I reintroduce my iconic felt rug collections with new artisan partners in Kathmandu, Nepal. This project is a continuation of my life’s work that began in 2002 and paused in 2018 due to trade sanctions on Iran. This second generation is comprised of ALL WOMEN and we are deeply committed to fair trade practices and design excellence. It is a deep honor to continue the Peace Industry legacy. Yes, it’s true! I am reintroducing my legendary Peace Industry rugs with a group of both new and classic designs. Our new techniques showcase saturated colors and bold geometric patterns in luxuriously soft New Zealand wool. As I reimagine my rug program I will roll out in 2 phases. During phase 1, I will offer pre-made rugs sold on this website and through my Oakland store by appointment 7 days a week 9-6pm. Make an appointment.
